I understand that when you first start out in crochet it’s very easy to fall into the ‘granny squares’ or ‘dishrag’ trap.
Sometimes we just want someone to hold our hand as we take our first tentative steps and this is what this pattern is about.
For 2 balls of cheap baby DK (or sport weight) you get a little mini blanket suitable for the Car Seat (many normal blankets are far too big) or as a security blanket which is easy care for mum and dad.
This is worked on a big ole hook, and working with two colours always results in interesting colourways and blends—almost giving a new third colour in the twist.
The large hook means this works up a lovely light and super soft blanket in super quick time—perfect for those emergency last minute gifts and just the right size and weight for little tiny hands. My niece carried her’s for YEARS and refused to sleep without it.
Pattern in UK and US versions.
