A quick and easy to knit hat in superchunky yarn. This would be a perfect first cabled project and can be easily knit in an afternoon. We use worsted weight yarn held double throughout.

Yarn: Rowan Pure Wool Worsted Two skeins = 400m/438yds (you won’t use it all though)

Needles: One 40” 6.5mm/US 10.5 circular needle and one 40” 8mm/US11 circular needle for magic loop (or dpns if preferred)

Gauge: 14 sts = 4” in cable pattern with yarn held double using 8mm/US 11 needles

Extras: One 6mm/US 10 cable needle or smaller, embroidery needle, stitch marker for beginning of round, cardboard for making pompom.
