You’re the most loyal fan in the world! You cheer for those 4 year olds no matter how cold it gets or how bad they are at kicking the ball into the goal. Whether you’re cheering for your kid’s soccer team, your alma mater, or the Super Bowl champions, do it in the Superfan Scarf.

The Superfan Scarf looks complicated, but it’s not. It’s knit flat, entirely in garter stitch with a simple little twist every few inches. The twist adds an eye-catching, three-dimensional effect sure to wow the other fans. If you can knit and join another ball of yarn, you can make this scarf. No purling, increasing, or decreasing required.

Finished Measurements: Length excluding fringe - 60” (1.5 m). Width - 6” (15 cm).

Gauge in Garter Stitch: 20 sts and 37 rows over 4” (10 cm). Since this is not a fitted item, gauge is not critical, however a different gauge will result in a different size and/or different yarn requirements.

Skill Level: Beginner. If you can knit and join another ball of yarn, you can make this scarf. No purling, increasing, or decreasing required.

Yarn: 500 yds (460 m) worsted weight yarn. 400 yds (370 m) of Main Color (MC) and 100 yds (90 m) of Contrast Color (CC). Pictured in Knit Picks Swish Worsted in Black (MC) and Honey (CC).
