A pretty modular pattern to make larger or smaller by adding sections or repeats. could also be worked in bulky yarn and larger needles to make larger or sport yarn and smaller needles if that’s what you were looking for.
Gauge isn’t critical, you just want the right needles for the yarn you have, not too tight or super loose either. You’d generally be fine if you were in doubt by using the recommended needle on the ball of yarn you choose. That will all have an impact on the finished size, I used worsted weight yarn for this one with size 8 needles.
Any questions, errors, recommendations or anything at all feel free to contact me.

The blanket shown is about 5 st/inch gauge and came out about 25” across, each repeat of the cable chart rows is about 1”-1.5” so if you want it longer or shorter measure your first completed pattern chart and add or subtract however many repeats, I did 20 repeats and ended up being about 30” long.
