A nice, thick blanket perfect for taking to the beach or keeping at the cottage. Made with colours that shout out summer, the texture of the fabric evokes images of wavy water and rippled sand. A great project for beginners and for those who like the look of modular afghans, but don’t like joining too many pieces together. Also a great stash buster!

This pattern uses 9 different colours (worsted weight: approx. 700 m in white + 300 m in each of eight colours), and a 5.5 mm crochet hook. The size of the finished blanket is about 55 inches X 64 inches.

Specific yarn used here: Loops & Threads Impeccable in White (3 skeins), Aqua (2), Heather (2); Bernat Waverly in Tibetan
Red (2), Turtle Green (2), Classic Navy (2); Paton’s Décor in Mandarin (2); Red Heart Soft in Sea Foam (2);
Vanna’s Choice in Terracotta (2).
