Suri is a unique transforming garment. By pulling the I-cord tight, this garment goes from a comfortable cowl to a warm hat. As a transitional garment, Suri will allow you to be comfortable in any weather. The brushed suri, easily exchanged for mohair or angora, builds a cozy layer into this garment. Suri’s brick-like design makes a great garment for both men and women.

The brushed suri in the pattern is intended to create a cozy layer to the garment, as well as adding to the color work design. Any DK weight angora, mohair, or similarly cozy yarn can be substituted. Or for a more sleek look, try using a more traditional spun wool or alpaca.

This garment is worked flat and then seamed.
The sample is knit with one skein of Juniper Moon Farm Herriot in color Blue Green (1003), and one skein of Blue Sky Alpaca Brushed Suri in color Earl Gray (905)
