Susan’s Scrunchy Scarves, version one and two, are fully reversible. The scrunches are created on both sides of a ribbed background. I provide instructions for the technique with photos to help.
This is a very simple project but it does require some specific skills. You need to know how to knit, purl, identify stitches on both the knit and the purl sides, pick up stitches and knit two stitches together from two needles.
The first version is a long skinny scarf with varying scrunches. The second version is wider and shorter with stacked scrunches. The first version is easily made wider by adding 12 stitch repeat and an additional skein of yarn. The second version is easily made longer by an additional skein of yarn.
It is fun and I hope you enjoy making it!
