Designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn and knit out of warm and lofty Tundra, this hat and mitten set features a large braided cable, deep ribbing. The hat has a slightly slouchy look, and the mittens feature a thumb gusset for optimum fit.

YARN: The Fibre Co. Tundra (60% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool, 10% silk; 120 yds/100 gm skein): snowdrift, 2 skeins.
GAUGE: 13.5 sts + 20 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St st on larger needles, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 - US 9 (5.5 mm) set dpns + 1 - 16” US 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular. 1 - US 10.5 (6.5 mm) set dpns, or size to obtain gauge.
SIZE: Mittens: 10.5” length, 7” circ. Hat: 9” height, 20” circ.
