This is the perfect first knitting project! This swatch is a great way for beginners to practice the knit and purl stitch to get the hang of it, without the stress of making it perfect.

In this project you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, fix mistakes, knit stitch patterns, and bind off! So just follow along with the instructions, and by the end you will have an amazing swatch!

In the instructions is a picture tutorial with step by step instructions and descriptive captions. There is also a link to the video tutorials for this project. At the end of the pattern there are instructions on how to make your swatch into a pouch and a wall hanging!

This swatch is Level 1 of the Be Creative Initiative, which is a series of learn to knit kits that are cumulative and take you from knowing nothing about knitting to being an intermediate knitter who is ready to knit any pattern!

You can buy the kit for this pattern on Etsy.
