Swedish Weave is a clever stitch pattern in which contrast colours are woven through the main fabric by slipping entire rows of stitches. Because the contrast colours are woven instead of knitted, they require very little yardage, making this a great pattern for showing off many colours from a yarn advent calendar, or using up small amounts of yarn from your stash. If using yarns from your stash, this is also an opportunity to experiment with different textures, as yarns of varying weights and fibre qualities can be used without compromising the overall drape and character of the piece.
