Orange you glad you clicked on this pattern? Hee hee hee… Seriously though, these little amigurumi oranges are oh-so-sweet. Delightful in summer, they aren’t scared away by winter’s chill -- these crocheted companions stay just as fresh as the day you stitched them!

The amigurumi orange is worked continuously in the round, with a leaf and orange blossom that are worked flat. In worsted weight yarn with an F hook, your orange will be roughly 3” wide and 2.5” tall (though gauge is not important for this pattern). To work this pattern, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Basic crochet stitches (ch, sc, hdc, dc)
  • Crocheting into the beginning chain
  • Working increases and decreases
  • Counting stitches and rows
  • Basic hand sewing

You’ll also need the following materials…

  • worsted weight yarn in orange (about 30 yards), cream (4 yards), green (4 yards), and brown (less than 1 yard)
  • scrap amounts of black yarn for embroidering features
  • safety eyes or buttons (if you don’t want to embroider your eyes)
  • small amount of poly fill or other stuffing
