This set was inspired by booties knit in the 1950’s by Odette Anastasi, who knitted and crocheted a vast array of styles for friends and family in Italy.

Instructions include six variations—Garter Border, Ribbed, Quaker Rib, Cabled, Moss Stitch, and Old Shale Lace. All are knit in one piece and seamed.

Baby booties are fun, quick, and easy to make. They are great for leftover sock and baby yarns and make a special gift.

Garter Border, Ribbed, and Quaker Rib booties appeared in the July/August 2004 issue of PieceWork magazine with an article about Odette.
