A sweet little Blue Bird hat!

Please note: eyes, beak and wings pictured are crocheted. You may substitute buttons for the eyes and pattern includes alternate knit directions for the beak and wings.

Pattern is sized for a newborn baby (0-6 months), 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6 years to adult.

Items needed for Pattern: Size 10 knitting needles, worsted weight yarn in light blue, medium blue, yellow, black and white. You will also need a large-eyed needle for seaming. This pattern is worked straight on two needles, but can be adapted for circulars.

Skills needed: Knowledge of stockinet stitch (knit, purl), knitting two together (k2tog), and stranding colors. This is an easy color changing pattern, so a good one to try if you haven’t before. Ears, nose and wings are crocheted.
