Sweet lilac is a very easy and fun sideways shawl worked in a combination of lace polka dots and garter stitch. The fun edging is worked as a long picot, for a simple yet striking visual effect. The center of the shawl is worked with short rows to give it a true crescent shape.

The design lends itself particularly well to variegated yarns and makes quick and simple knit for the advanced beginner.

It is also part of my “Ode to the Spring” collection, a 6 patterns collection of sideways shawls.
