This is a pattern for a crocheted sweet pea cocoon and hat! This pattern is worked in standard US terms. The cocoon and hat are worked in the round and are easy to make. Estimated dimensions of finished cocoon: 15” long x 10” wide with a 20” circumference.
Estimated dimensions of finished hat: 5” long from crown x 5.5” wide with an 11” circumference

This cocoon and hat set should fit most babies up to 3 months.

Materials:
~ Approximately 7 ounces of worsted weight yarn such as Lion Brands Vanna’s Choice yarn.
~ Crochet hook size US I/9 - 5.50 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
~ Yarn Needle

Stitches used:
~ ch - chain
~ ss - slip stitch
~ sc - single crochet
~ hdc - half double crochet
~ dc - double crochet
~ trc - triple crochet
