Details about the pattern

• triangle shaped shawl worked using garter stitch with a simple eyelet lace pattern all within an i-cord edging

• instructions are divided into sections making the pattern very easy to follow

• uses fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colours with approximately 355 yds/324 m to 525 yds/480 m per colour depending on your gauge/needle size

• sample was knit using Sweet Skein O’Mine (80/10/10- merino/cashmere/nylon) 355 yards/324 metres (115 g) in the colours Brick and Tea Cup Rose

• use colours with high contrast for a bright, vibrant look or low contrast for a soft, romantic look

• sample size is 41’/104 cm by 30”/76 cm with a wingspan of 60”/ 152 cm

• 23 sts x 46 rows= 4x4”/10x10 cm in garter stitch (gauge is not critical for this project but will affect size and yarn requirements)

• required notion: tapestry needle for weaving in your ends and stitch markers (2)

• techniques used: knit, purl, k2tog, k2tog tbl, M1L, M1R, sl3wyif, ssk, yo
