Sweet Symmetry Scarf by Naomi Frost

Sweet Symmetry Scarf

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

This cable scarf was inspired by a friend that is a classy, independent woman, with a keen sense of style and great life/work balance. A scarf for this special lady needed to be an elegant, symmetrical scarf, and not too girly. It also needed to be reversible, having no “wrong” side. The cable would appeal to her sense of style and two colors would provide nice contrast with balance and symmetry.

A soft, fluffy yarn is highly recommended to make this scarf extra special. The pictured scarf was made with hand-spun alpaca. Very soft, with a beautiful halo.

This scarf pattern is best suited for the intermediate knitter as the color changes can be tricky. A confident beginner could take it on with lots of patience and by carefully following the instructions in the color change video linked in the pattern. No matter what your skill level, you will benefit greatly by watching it. There are detailed instructions in the video that will make the journey more enjoyable.
