These leg warmers are all about the simple pleasures of knitting - color play, easy but engaging stitch techniques balances with the right amount of mindless knitting. These easy leg warmers are a perfect way to jump into stranded knitting as the two row stranding is easy to memorize and is broken up by rest periods of stockinette in the round. Use fun colors to help the stranded pattern pop. Experienced knitters will love this quick pattern that makes a fun last minute gift as they can be completed in 4 to 8 hours.

What you’ll need
• At least 225 yards each of two contrasting colors of light fingering yarn. I used Fibernymph Dyeworks Bounce Semi-Solid Sock Yarn in Violet and Hot Cherry Pink
• Needle: US 4 circular (at least 24”) or size to get gauge. DPNs may be used.
• Optional stitch marker
Gauge
• 8 sts per 1” in stockinette stitch
• Row gauge is not critical
What you need to know
• Stretchy Cast On (Long tail is suggested)
• Knitting in the round
• Stretchy Bind off
• Two-color stranded knitting. No prior experience with stranded knitting is needed, if you’ve never stranded this is a beginner level pattern with plenty of opportunity to practice and perfect your stranding!
