The border crossing I take when I visit home in Alberta is at Sweetgrass, Montana, home of the Sweetgrass Hills, which rise from the surrounding sweetgrass covered prairie. The lace border is worked first, then the short-row body; then a simple garter edging.

Finished Size: 15” depth, 60 wingspan. Modification directions included.

Yarn: Dragonfly Fibers Dharma (50% yak fiber/50% mulberry silk; 480 yards per 4 oz skein). Sample knit in Firecracker. Sample used 370 yards.

Needles: Size 4 US/3.50mm 24” circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 20 stitches/29 rows per inch in blocked stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical for this item but will affect yardage and drape.
