This is a pattern for a very open and lacy wrap that is knit using two very different lace stitches. The center panel is a very open stitch while the border has a more tightly knit stitch, giving the wearer a better “hold”. It is knit using heavy weight fingering weight yarn on a size #5 needle, which makes it heavier than the “wedding band” shawls, but a very comfortable weight for almost any weather. In addition, it is a fairly “quick” knit.

This is a written pattern.

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern.

Skill Level: Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, purling, yo’s and lace knitting experience.)

This pattern was expertly tested by Jennifer Stover who can be contacted at, phdaisy1@gmail.com, and is known on Ravelry as “phdaisy1”. The wrap was made using Fiesta’s Baby Boom yarn in colorway, Quince. Fiesta no longer exists. Fleece Artist’s BFL Sport would be a good substitute

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry or in my Etsy Shop in the Inter - Advanced Shawl Patterns Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...
