The pattern features charts for the thumb gusset, the main hand, and the lace edging. Full written instructions accompany the charts to guide you through every stage of the project.

Each mitt is knitted bottom up from a provisional cast-on. After completing the hand, the lace edging is knitted downwards from the provisional stitches.

The pattern makes a good introduction to stranded knitting. See the ’Knitting School’ at my website for stranded knitting tutorials, including a guide to selecting yarn colours for stranded projects.
