Two of my children participate in a program called Destination Imagination. It is an educational program where students work in teams to solve challenges in areas such as technical, scientific, structural, fine arts and performance. They then present their challenges in a competition against other teams. Both of my children’s teams will be representing our state at the global finals. One theme in my daughter’s team solution was of course candy! This design reminds me of the assorted hard candies that come in a variety of colors.
I am offering this pattern for sale to help both teams raise the funds they need to to go to the finals.
This is a knit round suitable for coasters or applique. I knit a test swatch to establish gauge but since it is not a fitted item, I don’t know how important gauge is. I used only a small amount of two colors of Lion Brand Wool Ease to make the round.
