4/8/17 There was a small oops in the pattern, so if you downloaded prior to April 8th be sure you are using the updated version!

I love Madeline Tosh yarns and the lovely Toshstrology collection from Jimmy Beans Wool has truly inspired me to knit up this fun, quick and deceptively simple beanie. The color of course is so neat and it’s a tribute to all of you Taurus’s out there!!

The hat can be knit into a cap by adding yardage, however, has been designed to use only one hank of the Tosh Chunky. I ended up with a small ball of yarn left over and that could be used for a PomPom, or tassel, knitter’s choice.

Caution on the yardage, as I am a loose knitter and did go down in needle size to get the gauge I wanted, so of course I am going to say, gauge, gauge, GAUGE!!! We all knit differently.

I always gauge my knitting projects that are knit in the round by knitting a small swatch in the round. Gauge varies quite a bit from flat work to circular work and the pattern notes talk about that.

I have written the slip stitch pattern in sections, so you can easily add an extra section, or two if you like. Again, make sure you have enough yardage if you decide to that.

The materials list is simple:

1 hank Madeline Tosh Chunky
US 7 & 8 16” circular needles, US 8 double points, OR size to acheive gauge.

I also like to cast on using the German Twisted Cast On, but it’s always knitter’s choice in my book.

Thanks for knitting the beanie and please let me know right away if you find any errors, of if you want to praise me as well (haha) Happy knitting either way!
