This small bowl can hold a plethora of small things, a special candy, loose change or a child’s treasures. Using two-color Brioche and felting can make a unique piece of art for your home.

Size before felting: Approx 7″ (18 cm) diameter at the
widest point and 5″ (12 cm) height.

Size after felting: Approx 3 ½″ (9 cm) diameter at
the widest point and 2″ (5 cm) height. Size will vary with yarn choice and degree of felting.

Yarn: Paton’s Classic Wool Worsted 100% wool
194 yds (177 m)/ 100 g: 62 yds (57 m) each of 2 contrasting colors. Sample used Aran and Rich Raspberry.

Gauge: 7 stitches and 24 rounds (12 countable rounds) to 4” (10 cm) in Brioche before felting. If you use a different yarn a loose tension is more important than gauge.

Needles: Size US 11 (8 mm) 32” (80 cm) Circular for magic loop, 2 circulars, DPNS or Flexiflips or size needed for gauge.

Notions: Tape measure, darning needle.
Optionally 5 markers, some glass marbles or decorative rocks and a table knife.

Difficulty: Intermediate: 2 color Brioche, working in the round, I-Cord Bind-Off and felting.
