A simple stitch that only looks complicated highlights the clean lines of an equilateral triangle. No need to be a math geek to knit this stunning shawl, just pick your favorite tonal, contrast, or wild colors and go for it!

One size: 59” (150 cm) on each equilateral side, 52” (130 cm) from point to opposite side.

Yarn: Fingering weight, approximately 800 yds (yardage is not critical for this project, but different yardage will yield a different size).
Shown in YOTH Yarns Little Brother, 437 yds / 100 g,
2 skeins: 1 skein each of Star Fruit and Avocado

Gauge: 14 sts and 12 rows = 4” in pattern stitch on US 10-11 (6-8mm) after blocking.
Gauge is not critical for this project, but a very loose gauge is needed to keep the stitch open. Take gauge measurements after blocking; wet blocking recommended. A different gauge will yield a different size / shape and have different yarn requirements.

This pattern is part of the “math” series.
