This romantic lace cowl is named after Takara, daughter of one of my wonderful testers. The name Takara 宝 means treasure or jewel and is so fitting for this pattern, as it will make you feel special each time you wear it.

You can use any fingering weight yarn.

The pattern is easy to adapt. It is possible to make the cowl either wider or narrower by adding or omitting motifs. You can do more pattern repeats to create for instance a hooded cowl or even a poncho.

Suitable for beginners as only a few simple stitches are used: slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and chain stitches. Fun and relaxing to do.

A huge thank you to my fabulous testers: Elaine, Lara, Heather and Mariana!
