When you need something light and airy to take the chill off? Try this airy edge ponchette. Light to wear and easy to pack for a getaway.

800/1200 yards of fingering weight yarn- Alexandra’s Crafts Dark Side of the Moon.

For a roomier version; simply purchase 3 skeins of yarn, use size 4 circular knitting needle long enough to accommodate 140 stitches. Size 3 or 4 circular knitting needle long enough to accommodate 98/140 stitches (or size needed to obtain gauge)
1 marker (I placed this after stitch 58/98 of the garter stitch panel to avoid counting every row)
Gauge: 7 stitches to the inch on size 3 and 6 stitches on size 4 and 7 garter ridges to the inch
The last photo shows the join. Join the bound off edge to the other end of the long side of the rectangle.

There are 26 repeats for the 2 skein version. You can make it smaller by making less repeats or larger with more repeats which would take more yardage.

I have approximate measurements for the ponchette using 2 different size needles. Using a size 2 needle, I measured approximately 15.5” wide x 34” long; with a size 3 needle, 16” wide x36” long. Not a big difference except the size 3 needle gives a looser fabric and hangs nicely.
