There has been reported a mistake in the pattern:

There is an error in the instructions in Rowan 48. An AT THE SAME TIME has been missed out in printing/proof reading.

You should work the intarsia charts at the same time as you shape the glove sides and create the thumb gussets and thumbs. If you follow the instructions in the magazine, you will get opera gloves.

Up to now there is no correction on the Rowan website.
