Simplicity, tranquility and aesthetics are, what I associate to Japanese design, and this was my inspiration for Tape-tee.
It’s knitted in the tape yarn GIMA, which in Japan means “false linen”. Although it’s made from cotton, it have this very special paper surface. In the design, the texture of the surface is highlighted by a rib pattern alternately worked with 1 and 2 strands of the yarn.

About the design
The Tape-tee you can wear, either as a vest or as a summer blouse - the short cut with width is neatly over a dress or top. It is knitted top-down from the shoulder and down, ending with a rounded edge, where the back is slightly longer than the front piece.
All edges are I-cord bands, which help to stable the shape in the light knitwear. The pattern is worked in an easy rib pattern, alternating with 1 and 2 strands of yarn.

The pattern includes 4 sizes:
Bust circumference 43.75-47.5” (111-126 cm)

• 200 / 200 / 250 / 250 g GIMA - Japanese cotton from www.maritarolin.se or similar (450 yd (425 meter)/50 g)
• 32” (80 cm) circular needle size US 3 (3 mm)
• 16” (40 cm) circular needle size US 3 (3 mm)
• 1 double pointed needle size US 2 (2.5 mm)
• Stitch markers
