The TARDIS Phone Sock pattern is a quick and easy phone cozy in a TARDIS design. This pattern is free of charge and all copyright of the TARDIS remains with its creators, the BBC, not myself. The pattern is great for using up small amounts of Aran-weight yarn and is knitted in the round. It takes less than an hour to knit - perfect for last-minute gifts!

The pattern is sized for mid-sized modern smartphones which measure roughly 14cm x 7cm x 1cm (5.5” x 2.75” x 0.4”). To knit this for a different size of phone, use larger or smaller needles. You can substitute DK-weight yarn by knitting with 2 strands of yarn together instead of 1 strand of Aran-weight yarn.

You will need around 20 yards of dark blue yarn, 5 yards of white yarn and 3 yards of black yarn. Remember to double this if you are knitting with DK-weight yarn instead of Aran-weight yarn.

This pattern is knitted in the round from the bottom up and uses Judy’s Magic Cast On.
