Smocking! It is gorgeous and very intriguing. I really enjoyed creating the smocked pattern for this design! It is always fun learning something new. I hope you enjoy knitting it! The technique is much easier than the complex pattern makes it appear. I made the sample with Fyberspates Vivacious DK, a lovely yarn with the stitch definition that is perfect for this project.

Finished bust: 30.5 (33.5, 36, 39.25, 42.5, 45.5, 48, 51.25, 54.5, 57.5, 60)“/76 (84, 90, 98, 106, 114, 120, 128, 136, 144, 150) cm. Modeled with 1”/2.5 cm negative ease.
Materials:
Yarn: Fyberspates Vivacious DK; 100% superwash merino wool; 251 yds/230 m per 115g skein; Dove Stone ; 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 9) skeins, 904(1004, 1108, 1260, 1355, 1462, 1595, 1712, 1883, 2024, 2096) yds/828 (920, 1015, 1155, 1241, 1340, 1462, 1569, 1725, 1855, 1921) m
Needles: Size 4/3.5mm 16”/40 cm and 24”/60 cm (or longer) circular needle and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
Other: Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch.

Notes: This sweater has a circular yoke and is constructed from the top down in one piece. Short-row back neck shaping and raglan shaping are worked after the yoke pattern is complete. The pullover is modeled with slight negative ease, but if you desire a looser fit, make a size that measures slightly larger than your bust. There is no body shaping past the armholes but waist shaping may be easily added. The sleeves and body can easily be lengthened by adding more rounds.
