Taurus is known for their reliability, practicality, ambition, and independence. These are all fabulous traits to have, and consequently are also traits that I think the perfect hat embodies. Reliable and practical are two positive traits of any good hat. Not only that but something with a little whimsical flair suits the independent nature perfectly. And, because a little ambition is good for pushing you to try something outside of your comfort zone, a charted (and written) leafy design will challenge you enough to keep you interested!

Materials:
-1 Skein of Tosh Merino DK (100% superwash Merino, approx. -100g/220yds) - shown in Taurus
-US 5 - 16” circular needles
-US 6 or 7 - 16” Circular needles
-US 6 or 7 - set of 4 DPNs
-Yarn needle
-Stitch markers (1 to mark beginning of round, & 2 additional markers in a different color, and a bunch of extras to mark the decreases if you’d like to.)

Gauge (steam blocked):
22 sts x 30 rows = 4” in reverse stockinette stitch

Finished Sizes (approx.):
S/M: 16” unstretched brim circ. X 9.5” tall (fits a 20-21” head)
M/L: 17” unstretched brim circ. X 9.5” tall (fits a 22” head)

Note on size: For those wanting a snugger, slightly shorter hat, knit the body on the US 6 needle. For those wanting a slouchier fit like the hat shown, knit the body on a US 7 needle. Size shown is the S/M knit on US 5 & 7 needles.
