Team Spirit Convertible Mitts is the perfect project in so many ways. It is a stranded design comprising easy repeats. The fact that the mitts are stranded means there’s double the amount of fingering wool for added warmth without added bulk. I have included instructions for fingerless mitts, convertible mitts that can be closed at the top to form a pseudo mitten, and tradition mittens. You also have the option to include a secret pocket that can securely hold valuables like cash or keys. Because the mitts are directionless, you can choose to wear the pocket on the outside of one hand, or on the inside of the other. You can add or delete pattern and round repeats to adjust sizes, and you can go up or down needle sizes to change sizes, too. The mitts can be made to fit anyone. You have choices galore with the Team Spirit Convertible Mitts pattern! Choose two highly-contrasting colors. The pattern was designed to feature your fave sports team colors or your school colors. In the pattern, I have included pics of some of the projects where knitters have duplicate stitched their team’s logo, added a third color in the cuff, or reversed colors on the second mitt to ensure equal yarn usage. There’s just so much to cheer about with this pattern. And speaking of cheers, here’s my fave:
