This pattern is part of the eBook “Berlin - wrapped in Red”, the result of a collaboration between Steffi Palm & Marion Bulin, owners of Yarn over Berlin, and their fabulous and creative friends. The eBook is part of the Malabrigo Freelance pattern project and features several Malabrigo yarns used for eleven red patterns named after Berlin´s districts, rivers or sights.

Tegel is a part of the district of Reinickendorf in the north of Berlin where I live. It has a nice old town flare and you can go for a ride on a “Dampfer” - a boat, which takes you from north to south along the Havel river. Tegel is also famous for its airport, where my trips to many places around the world begin.

In Berlin everything is possible. It is also possible to knit a pattern that looks like lace without a single yarn over or k2tog! You don’t believe it? Grab some yarn and needles and try it in whatever size you like.
