This Cardigan is worked in a slip stitch pattern as one piece from the bottom up with Modified dropped shoulders. It is divided at the underarms to finish the two fronts and the back and joined at the shoulders with a three needle bind off. The sleeves are picked up and worked flat down to the cuff, then seamed. The cardigans name is derived from the slip stitch pattern, Dots and Dashes from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury Of Knitting Patterns. I chose the slip stitch pattern because I love the way the light plays on the varied shades and the subtle sheen of the merino/mohair blend sitting atop the more matte background yarn. The big button is a little bold, but who could resist! Finished chest sizes are 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”.
