Climb up textured brioche stitches while mining the depths of this creative art in Terran. Inspired by the red clay of North Carolina and bubbling natural mountain springs, Terran creates a bottom-up softly shaped triangular shawl with wide wings and mirrored brioche designs. Strike gold with Terran and evoke wonder wearing your dynamic piece!

Slowly the texture appears in a background of brioche Stockinette to allow for enough excitement to keep the climb interesting, but staggered enough to keep the knitting intermediate-level. Cast on, brioche Stockinette, cables, brioche pattern stitches (including increases and decreases), and short rows round out the skills involved. Videos will be made available with each appropriate clue. Puddles and I will be on-hand for special zoom knitting get-togethers, too!

Terran is the 4th and final design in our “element” MKAL series with Solar Flare Circular Shawl, Oceanic, and Air Bender.

Remember the recommended yarn is hand dyed. Order soon to ensure a squishy mail delivery prior to the Terran event! The Unique Sheep is offering any of their fingering bases (except the 4-ply Merino) for this MKAL - see all options here!
