Like the Tessellating Diamonds Mitts pattern, the slouchy hat pattern uses four colors (not all at once!) to create a subtle diamond design with a background of stripes. The hat works equally well for men and women. Depending on how you pair up your color choices, you can make the stripes stand out, or you can make the diamonds prominent. Use the colors as suggested here, or choose any four colors with contrast so the design doesn’t get lost. Now that we have the mitts and the hat, can the socks be far behind?
