Pattern calls for 24 oz. soft white, 7 oz. each purple variegated, rust variegated, and green variegated, and 5 oz. each purple, blue, lt. rust, plum, green, red, and blue-green worsted weight yarn. It suggests you might want yarn bobbins with your normal F crochet hook and your G afghan (or tunisian) hook. Gauge with the F hook should be 9 US single crochet stitches and 9 US single crochet rows per 2 inches. Gauge with the G afghan hook should be 9 afghan stitches per 2 inches and 4 afghan stitch rows per 1 inch.

The afghan hook is used for the main body of the blanket, then the F hook is used for the thin border. Color chart is provided (in color!).
