It’s all Peg’s fault! In February 2015 I was at a fiber retreat just outside of San Antonio amongst friends who all love fiber arts. Saturday night I had a glass of wine (or two) when I got to talking to my friend Peg. She makes lovely project bags and was discussing doing some for my shop and mentioned she was doing some for a local indie dyer as well. Mentioning bags and yarn to me (while I was a little light headed) immediately got me to thinking about a kit! Over the evening and next morning I pondered the idea and was inspired as I was walking to my cabin after Sunday breakfast. By the time I left the site that afternoon, Texas Sun was already mapped out in my mind, and even had part of it tested for proof of concept. Within a week the prototype had been knit! There have been some bumps on the path to get it ready to publish, but I hope you enjoy making yours as much as I enjoyed the process of creating it for you!
