I love this pattern as it takes a plain beanie to another level bringing in texture. While the prototype was made with cotton, I felt it just perfect with the warmer weather upon us. Lending to breath-ability, comfort and warmth with cotton on a cooler evening or day.

I used Sugar and Cream in pink to make this up, did not include a flower, leaving it up to the creator of my pattern to add or not to add a flower. I will however post 2 pictures showing a flower to give the creator/crocheter an idea should they decide to add a flower.

While there are a variety of stitches used in this pattern, gauge was followed from the label on the yarn. I also used an ‘I’ hook to create the pattern, while the label on the yarn recommends and ‘H’ hook.

I crochet with an even tension, I don’t crochet tight, nor do I crochet loose, so for me the ‘I’ hook with this pattern and this yarn was perfect.

I will recommend and it is stated on my pattern when slip stitching the final round to do so very loosely but with even tension. You never want the sl sts to be tight, as it will not be comfortable to wear.

I hope you will enjoy this pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it and writing it up for you!
