Description from book:
You get the textured fabric in this scarf by alternating between working the stitches in the back top loop and the front top loop. Worked in single crochet with a slightly larger hook that you normally use for a worsted-weight yarn, the back/front loop pattern creates a nubby effect, and the fringe at each end finishes the design off nicely. The scarf is a perfect accessory for a cool fall afternoon and you can find the yarn in a wide variety of colors to match your wardrobe.

Pattern includes a stitch diagram along with written directions.
