Not your grandma’s afghan! This funky striped geometric throw, worked in simple mosaic colourwork, is a modern twist on the classic granny blanket. Use two contrasting colours throughout, or combine all your leftover yarns and use a different colour for each section. The possibilities are truly endless!

| GAUGE/SUGGESTED NEEDLES |

DK weight: 24 stitches and 36 rows over 4” / 10cm in pattern, with larger needles, after blocking.

Worsted weight: 20 stitches 33 rows over 4” / 10cm in pattern, with larger needles, after blocking.

A different gauge will affect finished measurements and yardage requirements.

Suggested needles for dk weight: 4.5mm (US 7), or size needed to obtain above listed gauge; AND 3.75mm (US 5), or two sizes smaller than size needed to obtain gauge.

Suggested needles for worsted weight: 5mm (US 8), or size needed to obtain above listed gauge; AND 4mm (US 6), or two sizes smaller than size needed to obtain gauge.

DK weight throw: 1405y for MC and 950y for CC (approx. 50y of CC per section).

Worsted weight stroller: 545y for MC and 405y total for CC (approx. 45y per CC section).

Worsted weight throw: 1555y for MC and 1190y total for CC (approx. 70y per CC section).
