12/24/2018 - Thank you for visiting this pattern. Effective immediately this pattern will be offered for free, after several years as a purchasable pattern. I’ve made this decision due to an effort to scale back my web presence. At the start of 2019 I will also take down my blog due to inactivity. Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great day wherever you are. :)

Add a pop of color to your winter wardrobe with a simple yet refined colorwork cowl. The double-layer created by the two colors will help keep that winter wind from chilling you to the bone.

Two versions are available with this pattern:

Short – 7 inches deep, 20 ¾ inches around (17.78 cm deep, 52.7 cm around)
Tall – 10 inches deep, 21 ¾ inches around (25.4 cm deep, 55.25 cm around)

Yarn:
Short version
Knit Picks Wool of the Andes (100% wool, worsted weight, 50 grams, 110 yards per skein)
Main Color (MC) – Dove Heather (approx. 105 yards used) Coordinating Color (CC) – Sapphire Heather (approx. 75 yards used)

Tall version
Cascade 220 Worsted (100% wool, worsted weight, 100 grams, 220 yards per skein)
MC – Color #9465, Dark Brown Heather (approx. 130 yards used)

This cowl would be a great beginner pattern for those new to colorwork.
