This pattern is an easy to knit and easy to wear cardigan style jacket. It was adapted from a vintage Baby Sweater Pattern from the 1950;s. I changed the gauge, proportions and lengths to be suitable for an adult jacket. The worsted weight yarn is knit all in garter stitch and gives a soft, comfortable and very wearable jacket with lots of give. All sizes are 27” long. The jacket is worked starting at the left front edge, worked to the side seam, the body stitches are then put on a holder, sleeve stitches cast on and worked. The sleeve stitches are then cast off and the body stitches picked back up, the back is worked then the other sleeve and front worked to correspond . Stitches are picked up at the neck edge to work and collar and the front and neck edges are finished with single crochet. Lastly a zipper is sewn to close the front edges. Instructions for putting in a zipper are included in the pattern.
