The Archer tunic is worked flat and then seamed.

The pattern is written for women’s sizes XS to 2XL (underbust measurements from 24-26 in to 44-46 in), and includes bust shaping for A to DDDD (US) cup sizes (up to 10 inches difference between bust and underbust measurements).

Recommended fibre: Wool, wool blend, or acrylic DK yarn in a solid colour with high elasticity and good stitch definition. Test knitters used and were happy with Berroco Vintage DK, Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, ColourMart Extra Fine Merino DK and Stylecraft Pure Wool DK.

Difficulty: Intermediate to slightly tricky. Techniques involved include cabling, cabled decreases (for the raglan), short rows (for the hood), 3 needle bind-off or grafting (also for the hood), and some maths for the bust shaping (worksheet provided). Chart reading is necessary for the cabled panel.

A note about bust shaping: As this pattern uses vertical bust darts, there may be a tendency for the belt band to ride up slightly on the three largest bust sizes. While I have added an additional inch of length to the bodice to counter this, it may look more flattering to omit the front belt ribbing altogether.
