A local knit guild put a call out for patterns to insert into their goody bags for the local
Stitch n’ Pitch, and I thought what would be more perfect than a scarf featuring
baseballs and bats. Done in a wool and plant fiber blend it is meant to be a nice and
airy accessory for whatever weather you might encounter at your local Stitch n’ Pitch.

Width: 7 inches x Length: 55 inches (blocked)

Approximately 370 yards of DK weight yarn (185 yards of each color if you choose to do
2 different colors)
1 set US #5/3.75mm straight needles
darning needle

5 sts/7 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch

A note on color change: In order to change colors, slip the first stitch, and work the
pattern in the new yarn. Continue working pattern in new yarn for a few rows, and then
cut the old color yarn. Repeat for every color change.
