This is my Bob Ross Scarf. I call it that because it is a happy accident. I was new to knitting and didn’t know what I was doing - This is probably only the 2nd or 3rd thing I ever made. I thought this would end up being a run of the mill rectangular scarf in a cool yarn. What it is actually is a really cool kind of ruffled, oversize scarf in a cool yarn. This scarf ends up at about 10 feet long - it could really be any width, but mine are usually around 13-15 inches wide depending on how quickly I get bored and decide to wrap things up. It’s being modeled by my handsome pup, Indiana Bones, but it’s really a human scarf. In my experience, most dogs merely tolerate scarves. Beginning knitters, this one is for you, because this scarf is so easy and fun to make, and you will get mad compliments and people will think you are a knitting super star, which feels great when you are a beginner. Experienced knitters, be forewarned, the way I made this scarf is just ridiculously wrong by all objective knitting rules and might cause you to yell out WTH when you read the directions, but the end result is pretty fun! Anyway, I hope you make one and love it like I love mine :)
