I’ve been a hat addict for a long time,I wear one almost every day. If I don’t, someone always asks where my hat is! I’ve made many hats from fabric and have blocked both wool felts and straw capelines or hoods using wired edges for shaping and support. This Breton is a result of my search for a knit hat with a brim that is unsupported by a stiffener. This yarn normally knits at 12 - 16 sts to 4”/10cm, but the firmer gauge of the pattern is crucial to giving more body and structure to the piece. The flower and leaf instructions are included, and the pattern is extremely detailed.
