These mitts were designed to match The Cape Hatteras Scarf. The cables are smaller, but the pattern is still easy enough for a beginner. They are written for one size, but they are easily adjustable by adding stitches to the palm side of the mitt.

For a variation, try knitting the palm side in seed stitch instead of stockinette.
