From the book: “The unusual netlike stitch used in this garment looks as if it couldn’t possibly be knitted. It grew out of experiments with creating a loose bind-off (cast-off)… The resulting fabric has lines of twisted stitches separated by a single horizontal line. Knitted loosely, it looks like open drapey netting. Knitted more tightly, it looks woven.”

Note: This pattern requires both size needles to be circular needles. A gauge swatch is an essential first step to determining finished size of garment.
